A technological inventor and a well-known member of the ecosystem in Egypt, Tarek Salem. After pursuing a successful career in modeling and acting, Tarek had an accident that put him in a wheelchair with limited use of his hands.
During his involvement with Nitrous, Tarek bought his own 3D printer and started making his own assistive tools using assistive technology at home, combining his software development and 3D printing skills. His idea of developing and creating assistive tools for people with disabilities in Egypt inspired Project Nitrous to start designing and producing customized assistive tools using assistive technology.
Tarek joined and won Nitrous Competition and created www.accesslife.co to connect people with disabilities in Egypt with assistive tools, which are created using assistive technology, making labs and suppliers more accessible to them.
